The second of our biannual Parents’ Days was held on 23rd April, and was an excellent opportunity for parents and teachers alike to share and recognise our students’ achievements, as well as areas in which they may need some additional support. In addition to supporting our students throughout their academic journeys, by discussing the students’ progress and report cards, Parents’ Day also served to provide an opportunity to speak to the guidance and counselling services so that we are better able to support our students’ social and emotional development as well.
The 23rd of April was not only our Parents’ Day, but it was also International World Book Day, and it was great to have the book fair in the hall again. Parents had a chance to read some excellent books, many of which had been suggested by some of our very own avid young readers. As with our previous Parents’ Days, we were also fortunate to have the pop-up health check station in the small playground, where qualified medical professionals were able to give advice on having a healthy lifestyle, in addition to providing routine health checks.
Thank you to all who attended and made the day so successful. We hope that the day served as a reminder that a strong partnership between teachers and parents helps to create a supportive educational environment for our students.
