STEM DAY

The 2022 STEM DAY took place on 8^th July, 2022. All of the staff attended a workshop a few days before so that they were able to guide the students in different tasks. First, there was a mixture of reading and discovery about the different topics that they were investigating. Then they had the tasks of constructing the items that they would be challenging each other with. This could be the distance a car travelled, the effectiveness of a face screen or the stable completion of a circuit. Students were fully engaged in the activities and had great enjoyment. Great enjoyment was had as everyone could put their own stamp on a basic design. After that we asked the students to evaluate what they had done and how it could be improved. The last part of the day was spent looking at AI technology and effects it could have on how we live. The day was enjoyable and meaningful. All students became little investigators.
